Your guide to the international terminal
at Atlanta airport (ATL)

Remember, you must pass through Customs and Immigration
even if your bags have been tagged to your final destination.
US citizens / ESTAs
holders on second (or
successive) visit to
the US
Proceed to the immigration hall
and use one of the automated
passport control kiosks.
Staying in Atlanta?
Collect your bags and turn right
through the glass double doors
into the arrivals lobby.
Taking a connecting flight
After leaving the aircraft, take the escalator
downstairs. You must collect your baggage before
customs, even if it’s tagged to your final destination.
You’re only required to see the transfer desk if you
have not checked in for your connecting flight or
you’ve missed your connection.
Domestic connections
If you are checked through to your final
destination, simply collect your baggage and
pass through customs, turn left through the
glass double doors and drop your bags o at
the baggage belt to your left. Proceed to the
departure gate.
International connections
If you are checked through to your final
destination, simply collect your baggage and
pass through customs, turn left through the
glass double doors and drop your bags o at the
baggage belt to your left. Proceed through TSA
security to your connecting flight.

regular immigration booths.

Connecting at Atlanta airport
A complimentary airport bus runs every 6-10 minutes between
concourses T and F. Journey time is roughly 15-20 minutes,
but may be more during busy periods.
‘Plane Trains’ run between concourses, each with
a journey time of roughly 10 minutes.
