ATTENTION PRO SE LITIGANTS WISHING TO FILE FOR SIMPLE

UNCONTESTED NO FAULT DIVORCE

The Frederick County Circuit Court will now be accepting simple uncontested no fault divorces to help

self-represented (pro se) litigants. However, the Court will only accept pro se divorce packets offered by

the Virginia Poverty Law Center. You can access the pro se divorce packet by visiting

www.valegalaid.org/divorce.

When filing for a divorce, pro se litigants are expected to follow the instructions provided, including

paying a filing fee of $98.00 (only cash or money order accepted) and filling out a VS-4 divorce report at

the Frederick County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office.
