In the event of less than 16 players entering any one event, the Competition Manager
has the right to either cancel the said event or to introduce a reasonable alternative
for all concerned.
Every entered player is allowed to participate in one singles, one doubles and one mixed
doubles event. A player must participate in her/his own age category, except in
doubles and mixed doubles. If players of a pair do not belong to the same age group,
then they shall be placed in the category of the younger player.
If the doubles partner (according to the draw) is not present a new partner will be given
by the organizer if possible.
The Championship:
We are thrilled to announce an enriching sporting event that is sure to captivate your
attention, the 1st Commonwealth Masters Table Tennis Championships 2023 organised under
the aegis of the Commonwealth Table Tennis Federation (CTTF) and will take place in India
from 15 to 21 November at Hyderabad.
We warmly invite you to participate and be part of this historic event. Our goal is not only to
host a top-tier tournament but also to provide the most unique and enriching experience for
all participants representing each of the 72 Commonwealth countries.
Our dream is to amalgamate sport and culture, encouraging interaction between different
nations through their shared love for sport and fostering an environment that transcends
mere competition. This city will offer participants a chance to immerse themselves in its
rich history, stunning architecture, scenic landscapes, delectable cuisine and vibrant
nightlife.

PROSPECTUS
A doubles pair shall not be altered if both players are present and fit to play. However,
injury, illness, or the absence of one player may be accepted as justification for an
alteration to take place, but only before the announced “deadline”.
All entries in singles and doubles will be published online immediately after the
deadline. Players are responsible for checking their respective entries or asking for
confirmation from the organizer. No alterations or new entries will be accepted after
the deadline.
All individuals who are older than 40 years of age or who will be 40 years of age during
the year 2023 are eligible to participate.
Upon the organizers’ request, the participants shall present their passport/ID Cards as
proof of age.

PROSPECTUS
A player entering a doubles event without a doubles partner (partner wanted) must
accept any doubles partner assigned to him/her by the organizers.
Doubles pairs which are confirmed from both players or which are combined by the
organizers may not be altered by a player (such a pairing may only be changed if one of
its players has cancelled her/his participation in the competition).
A list of pairs entered in the doubles event – confirmed by both players – will be
published online as soon as possible.
Name and surname of the participant(s) to whom the payment refers.
Share payment transaction number or swift copy of the payment.
Registration for the Championship can only be considered accepted after the organisers
have received the full registration fee.

To register for the 2023 CTTF Masters Championships, you must register and complete the

Singles Events: All singles events shall be conducted in two stages. All matches will be
played in best of five games format.
Doubles Events: The Doubles events shall be conducted on a knockout system with all
matched played in best of five games format.

Cancellation of Registration: To communicate the cancellation of the registration and

A request to cancel one’s registration can be sent at any time under the following

System of Play:

The ITTF Laws of Table Tennis and the ITTF Regulations for World, Olympic and
Paralympic Title Competitions will be applied, although the specific 2023 Rules and
Regulations for the CTTF Masters Championships shall take priority.
The draw for the Qualifying Competition in Singles will take place approx. 7 days before
the beginning of the CTTF Masters Championships.
The draw for the Masters Championship Competitions will take place immediately after
completion of each age category’s qualification matches in the Qualifying Competition.
For any changes or additions to the draw, the organizer is required to obtain the
approval of the Referee.
The organizer will provide national and international umpires for the Masters
Championships Competition for the knockout stage.
In the group play, members of the groups not playing shall make themselves available as
umpires.

The top four players and pairs in each category of the CTTF Masters Championships
Competition will be presented with medals.
Winners and runners-up of the competition will receive a Cash Prize, Trophy and
Certificate.
1st Runners-up and 2nd runners-up will receive Medals, Gifts and Certificate.
