Homemade milk replacer

1/2 cup (120 ml) cow’s or goat’s milk

+
Blend uniformly and warm to
95-100°F.** Refrigerate between uses.
Discard any unused milk replacer 24
hours after mixing.
* Some examples of oral multivitamin solution for pets are PET-TINIC
®
, Liqui-Tinic™, and Hi-Vite™ Drops.
+
TUMS
®
is Calcium Carbonate and it comes in 500 mg, 750 mg, and 1,000 mg tablets.
** Avoid warming the milk up in the microwave. Instead, warm the milk by placing it in a warm water bath. You can warm the water
bath in the microwave, then soak the milk in the water bath for a few minutes (or however long it takes to warm the milk up to
about 95-100°F.)
(Either recipe is fine depending on what
ingredients you have available at home.)
(For temporary use only until commercial milk replacer can be obtained.)
