BUSI 1200 is expected to be completed prior to declaring a
major. All of the professional development courses are 1 hour
courses and must be completed with a grade of C or higher.

In order to reach 120
hours, this degree will require students to
take some courses that are used to fulfill two requirements
between the core
and the pre-business. Please see the RCOB
Undergraduate Programs Office in BLB 110 for advising related
to these specific core requirements and best options. Eligibility
to take a course fulfilling two requirements may be required. If
eligibility is not met, this may require hours beyond the 120
hours for the degree.
MS Graduate Portion (33 hours)

Admission to the MS portion requires a 3.0 Accounting
GPA, which is comprised of ACCT 3110, 3120, 3270,
4100, 4140, 4300, 4320 and 4400.
A total of 120 undergraduate credit hours and 33
graduate credit hours are required for this degree. GPA
requirements for admittance to the graduate (MS)
portion: must have a 3.0 overall GPA, and a 3.0 on
specified list above under Professional Field.
A grade of “C” or higher is required in all Pre-Business,
Professional Development, Business Foundation,
Professional Field, and Supporting Field courses.

Note: All students entering ACCT 3110 (Intermediate
Accounting I) are required to complete and pass an
entrance exam. This policy applies to both UNT students
and transfer students. The exam will be administered
several times a year.
BS/MS ACCOUNTING
^strongly recommended to meet leveling requirements for MS portion
^^prerequisite of 2.7 UNT GPA required
This degree will require at least 12 hours in summer in order to
be on track for graduate courses in Senior year Spring semester.
Internship (ACCT 5800): Internship credit is strongly suggested on
the MS portion during your first semester in graduate school. Please see
